On 24th May 2017, 8th Annual Clinical Trials Summit was organized at Kohinoor Continental Hotel, Mumbai (India). The summit was all about key issues and opportunities in clinical trial industry and discussed about clinical trials strategy, trial design, observational research, regulatory requirements, safety reporting etc. The conference was attended by various CEOs, Presidents, Directors, and Managers in clinical research services, regulatory affairs, medical affairs and clinical operations. Our Director, Dr Namrata Singh was a key speaker in the conference and talked about “Registration and Ethics Committee Approval of Observational Studies”. She highlighted the need for registration of observational studies along with its ethical considerations. Being into medical writing, she understands the ethical obligations while going for publication of observational studies and thus, discussed the best publication practices of an observational research. The session was highly appreciated by the audience and is one of the major topics of interest in the current scenario.

DP Singh is a computer science graduate from NIT Calicut, batch of 1986-90. He later pursued LLB in 1995 and received on-the-job software training in 1995-96, working on multiple platforms. After gaining valuable industry experience, he decided to further his education and completed an MBA. In 2000, he took the entrepreneurial leap and established a self-funded college in Meerut. He also runs an Engineering college, school, degree college, and Management college. He wears many hats as an educationist and entrepreneur. In 2014, he along with Dr Namrata co-founded Turacoz and has been majorly providing software support ever since. He also created a Resource Management System for the company from scratch.

In his free time, DP Singh likes to delve into the deeper aspects of life, such as spirituality and philosophy. He is an avid reader and listener of motivational material. He hopes to become a motivational speaker and leave a lasting impact on society through his work and education initiatives.
